Avalanche Detector Pulse Barryvox: Mammut Lost Lawsuit

The yearlong lawsuit regarding a function of the avalanche detector Barrivox has come to an end. The Swiss company Mammut Sports Group AG lost a patent trial before the appellate court against the ORTOVOX sport GmbH.

 

<p>Even if the conflict was about a small function – the connection of the compass with the direction finding function – all detectors not delivered to end customers have to be recalled.</p>
<p><br />Consequently there will be no Mammut avalanche detectors available until they change their software. Based on information of Mammut this will happen in the next weeks.</p>
