Wild Country Recalls Chocks Classic Rocks and Anodised Rocks

2013/10/10, Tideswell, UK: The british manufacturer of climbing equipment Wild Country recalls their chocks from different series. After a break of a nut in use, Wild Country tested extensive their products Classic Rocks and Anodised Rocks. The result is a recall of this series since the year 2010.

Affected are following chocks:

Affected are any of the batch codes AG, AH, BII und JBE.

These batch codes are marked on the size label, underneath the clear sleeve which covers the swage -
as can be seen in the photo below:

Identifying the affected products:
Affected products were sold after from January 2010. Please note that Anodised Rocks were supplied both as individual pieces in sizes 1 - 14 and sets 1-8, 4-8 & 9-14. Classic Rocks were sold in sets of 1-10 only.

Not affected are the chocks: Mini Rocks, Superlight Rocks und Rockcentrics.

If your Classic or Anodised Rocks are from the batch codes subject to recall, you must return them to Wild Country. Please register with the recall database which can be found at www.wildcountry.co.uk.

Entering the requested information will allow you to automatically generate a returns form and return address label. The return address label contains the address of the nominated recall centre nearest to the home address you entered into the database. Proof of postage should be obtained as we will not be able to replace/refund items which go missing without this.

Wild Country will endeavour to replace returned product as soon as possible. However their factory in Tideswell in the UK has an output practically limited by raw material availability and production capacity. When Wild Country are able to judge the rate of return of product they will post regular updates to keep customers informed of the anticipated delay.
