Petzl Quickfix Is Not a Lanyard for Safety Points

Crolles, France:

 

The company Petzl explicit advices that the positioning webbing „Quickfix“  cannot be used as a lanyard for attachment to rappel stations. With a pressure of 150 daN (150 kg) the webbing breaks in the buckle.

 

Petzl tested the “Quickfix” with a static 80cm downfall and a 80kg dummy and the webbing always broke.
