Farewell Daniel

Written by

With consternation we heared about the death of our dear colleague Daniel, who led with us the climbing courses at the institution for university sport (ZEH) of the Humboldt-University Berlin.

Daniel has been voluntary on a youth expedition of the DAV section Berlin in Morocco as one of two expedition leaders to make first ascents and to install sport climbing routes. During a allways possible but normaly uncomplicated downthrow the ropes were cut by a falling rock slice and Daniel was killed in that accident.

Since 2002 Daniel was part of our team of instructors for the ZEH of the Humboldt-University. He was a freelance instructor in rock climbing and ropes courses from 2002 to 2009 for climbland and other companies.

We are with the family and the participants of the youth expedition and everyone, which knew and esteemed Daniel of the courses and his dedications.

We will miss you.
